On this page are various tradesmen, suppliers and other companies that we have used, and would recommend to anyone else contemplating similar work.

Builder

The builder we have used on our project is Wayne Spencer ( 07886 324270 ). Living in the Matlock & Wirksworth area with his family, Wayne is experienced with both brickwork and natural stonework - the latter being used on our build, and widely within the Derbyshire Dales Conservation Area. He was initially recommended to us by a neighbour; and also by a family for whom he built a large extension - they recommended him when we knocked on their door to ask. Wayne is very easy to get along with, and the quality of his work can be seen from our photos.

Architectural Masonry Suppliers

The design of our house uses a large quantity of cut gritstone - the quoins, string courses and all window cills, jambs, heads and mullions have all been cut and supplied by Lumshill Stone ( 01246 855794 ). The stone supplied has been of a very high quality - again this can be seen from our photos.
